Gamebro.biz.id - At one point, the people who made the Switch 2 thought about naming it the Super Nintendo Switch. They opted against it, though, because it could play original Switch games, while the Super NES from 1990 couldn't play games from the NES from 1983. I played with it all weekend and think the Switch Pro is a better moniker. It's more like a modernized and improved version of the original system than a whole new generation. The bigger screen and faster processor are the most visible improvements, but every part of the system is better. The larger Joy-Cons seem stronger and are easier to operate. I like how they magnetically clip onto the console. The user interface is a graceful but somewhat monotonous version of the Switch's, with mild haptic feedback and nice little sounds that make it feel like you're playing. Some people might be upset that the Switch OLED model goes back to a regular LCD screen, but the quality is good and the extra screen spac...
Gamebro.biz.id - If you're just now learning about the PlayStation 5 a few years after it came out, you're in luck. Sony's own studios have made some of their best games this generation by taking advantage of the console's technical power and creating huge stories and intriguing characters. In the meantime, both big third-party studios and small indie developers have used the system and its unique controller in amazing ways.
Astro Bot
The beautiful 3D platformer from Sony has the titular space robot stuck on a faraway world with hundreds of cute friends. All the bits of his mothership are guarded by a colourful array of bosses, and you must put it back together.
We adore it because "It's one of the best platformers I've ever played, and I've played a lot of them as a kid in the 90s." Read the whole review.
Baldur's Gate 3
One of the best modern role-playing fantasy games, it gives players almost as much flexibility to tell stories and use their imaginations as a tabletop D&D game as they fight the powerful mind-flayers.
We love it because "It's a huge landmark in the RPG world." "Full of life, full of possibilities, and full of imagination."
Cocoon
People didn't know they needed a video game about a beetle that can go to other realms to solve riddles, but it turns out we did. A gorgeous, odd, gooey organic mystery journey.
Why we love it: "The sound and visuals are self-assured, understated, and powerful, which makes this the best puzzle game to come out in years."
Death Stranding
You won't find anything else like Hideo Kojima's elegiac science-fiction adventure. It's a post-apocalyptic quest to save humanity, and you play as a package courier with a very expensive and unlikely package.
Why we like it: "This uncompromising, unapologetically political work of art is by far the most interesting blockbuster game of 2019." Please read the whole review.
Souls of the Demon
Before Dark Souls, FromSoftware made a great hack-and-slash game called Demon's Souls. It was a dark, scary fight across the shattered realm of Boletaria. This remake painstakingly changes the graphics, fighting, and structure to offer something new that is just as dangerous.
Why we love it: "This turns one of the most quietly important games of the 00s into a dark fantasy that looks amazing and never gets old."
Elden Ring
A huge fantasy opera from the people who made Dark Souls, with amazing scenery, strange characters, and bosses that appear impossible to beat. With the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, it's an open world game that's both hard and fun to play.
Why we love it: "This planet is huge, beautifully depicted (the sun and moon wheel in the sky, changing each scene), and seems to have an endless variety of unique ideas. It is an unmatched example of creativity and design. Read the whole review.
The remake of Final Fantasy VII
The first part of a grand remake of Square's groundbreaking role-playing game from 1997, featuring stunning new graphics and longer scenes.
Why we like it: "Final Fantasy VII Remake takes the original to new heights." It looks amazing, but more importantly, the gameplay has a modern feel without sacrificing what made the game unique in the first place. Read the whole review.
Ragnarök: God of War
The follow-up to Sony Santa Monica's amazing remake of the beloved mythological action-adventure franchise. This time, Kratos and his adolescent son have to trek to the frigid realms of Scandinavia to find a lost god and stop the world from ending.
Why we love it: "There haven't been many interpretations of ancient mythology that are as gripping, detailed, and creative as this one, in video games or any other medium."
Gran Turismo 7
The famous PlayStation driving game receives a beautiful 4K update and a huge selection of carefully crafted super automobiles.
Why we love it: "This game is so beautiful that it makes your jaw drop." Each car is worked on in great detail, even down to the exact placement of the reflecting parts in the headlights of each car. Read the whole review.
Helldivers 2
A thrilling co-op space shooter and a great parody of Starship Troopers, where players land on different worlds to blast up lethal robots, gigantic bugs, and other alien trash.
Why we love it: "It's so accurate, the gunplay is so exciting, and the feedback and effects are so generous." How good it is is just one of the many crazy things about this game. Read the whole review.
Remastered versions of The Last of Us Parts I and II
Ellie, a weak teen, and Joel, a cynical survivor, fight their way through the zombie-infested states of America in search of a cure for a fungal virus that turns people into zombies. Then they have to deal with what they find. Naughty Dog's violent yet gorgeous adventure games are classics in the industry, and they have been updated for PS5.
Why we love it: "Playing this brutal adventure again, but with better graphics and sound, was just as exhausting, moving, and exciting as the first time." Read the whole review.
Spider-Man 2 from Marvel
Peter Parker and Miles Morales work together to stop Venom and a group of supervillains that want to ruin their life, their loved ones' lives, and the whole city of New York.
Why we love it: "It's a real pleasure to play something that has been so lovingly thought out and that stays true to its source material." Everyone who has a PS5 should play this game. Read the whole review.
Rift Apart: Ratchet & Clank
In a graphically stunning multiverse adventure, two furry heroes travel between realms to take down an evil ruler of the galaxy.
We adore it because "This is a blissfully simple cartoon science-fiction adventure..." Everything you do feels nice and gives you feedback through your senses, whether it's through your eyes, ears, or the controller's haptic rumble. Read the whole review.
Returnal
Selene, the only survivor, must escape a horrible cycle of life and death if she wants to get away after crashing on a dangerous alien world. A time loop shooter that doesn't care about you.
Why we love it: "It's hard and sometimes depressing, but it's also interesting, mysterious, and just plain fun to play." Read the whole review.
The Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection
Nathan Drake looks for a buried pirate treasure in Uncharted 4, and Chloe Frazer, a high-class burglar, looks for the legendary Tusk of Ganesh in India in The buried Legacy. Two great trips throughout the world, now restored for PS5.
Why we love it: "Uncharted 4 is a fun and exciting adventure that takes you all over the world and has some sad parts."
